South 43 Water Association Inc. has hired Bean, Longest and Neff, LLC. (BLN) to complete a Preliminary Engineering Report (PER) of our water supply system. 

As part of the PER, BLN will be flushing our hydrants, conducting water flow and pressure tests in September and October. With the information gained from these tests they will produce a hydraulic model used to evaluate the existing system. This study will help to determine locations that we need to replace, relocate and upsize pipe as needed, as well as reduce water loss from aging and leaking pipes.

BLN will also be looking into getting another source of water from Greencastle or Reelsville to better serve the needs of our customers for future growth and economic development along US 40 east of US 231 and US 231 south of US 40.
